"Tawasul" launches the first unified government electronic portal to enhance community participation in decision-making

2025-06-17

The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship announced the launch of the unified government e-participation portal, "Tawasul," an interactive digital platform designed to enhance citizen and stakeholder participation in decision-making by providing a platform for their feedback on government legislation, policies, and projects.

The "Tawasul" portal, linked to the "Sanad" application for a streamlined and secure login process, allows users easy access to the content of legislation, policies, and projects under discussion, participation in public surveys, submission of proposals, and transparent monitoring of consultation outcomes.

The portal also provides an integrated mechanism for receiving complaints and suggestions from citizens through its integration with the "Bikhedmatkom" platform, strengthening direct communication channels between the community and the government and facilitating the expression of opinions and feedback.

The Ministry invites all citizens, residents, and stakeholders to visit the portal at www.tawasal.gov.jo and take advantage of this interactive platform, which empowers them to actively participate in the development of legislation and government services.

The launch of the "Tawasul" portal comes as part of the Jordanian government's commitment to the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein to promote active citizenship and open transparent channels of communication between the government and society, including citizens, residents, the private sector, and civil society organizations.

Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Eng. Sami Smirat, affirmed that the "Tawasul" portal represents a qualitative step in building a genuine partnership between the government and society. He noted that its simplified design and integration with the "Sanad" application facilitate everyone's participation in consultation and decision-making processes. He called on everyone to participate and contribute their ideas and observations, which will help shape policies that meet the aspirations of society.

This launch is part of the government's efforts to solidify the principles of transparency and participation, and to enhance trust between citizens and government institutions, thereby contributing to improving the quality of public services and policies in Jordan.
