Objectives

these guidelines establish the national framework for the ethical promotion of medicinal products in Jordan. These Guidelines establish a comprehensive regulatory framework in Jordan, encompassing pre- approval, post-marketing compliance, monitoring, and enforcement of pharmaceutical promotion. The Rational Drug Use and Pharmacovigilance Department, operating under the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), is responsible for the review and formal approval of pharmaceutical promotional materials in accordance with the current regulations. The Department ensures that all medicinal product communications are accurate and balanced, supported by appropriate scientific evidence, reflect the approved product information, promote the rational use of medicines, and protect public health and professional integrity.
