Objectives

To reduce the presence of illegal non-Jordanian workers in the labor market and increase the number of non-Jordanian workers with work permits. This will encourage investment by allowing all sectors to issue work permits at reduced fees for workers with specialized skills. This will also enable the Ministry of Labor to carry out the tasks specified in the law, in line with its roles and responsibilities in regulating the labor market in general and the affairs of non-Jordanian workers in particular.
